Passengers on the city Metro’s Magenta Line long-faced hardship on Sunday as services were disrupted on the corridor for nearly 2 hours due to some technical problems, officials said. Magenta Line connects facility in Noida to Janakpuri West stations in city, each stations being interchange facilities. Around 9:30 am, the DMRC tweeted concerning the snag and disruption in services.
“Due to a technical issue, train services are run in following loops temporarily:1) Between Janakpuri West & R K Puram 2) Between facility & Kalkaji,” it tweeted. officials said, trains were operated on one line between R K Puram and Kalkaji Mandir stations quickly, adding actual reason for the snag was being ascertained.
In an official statement, DMRC said, “Train services on Line-8 (Magenta) between Kalkaji and R K Puram section were affected these days from 8.55 AM to 11 AM thanks to motoring problem being according from a train at Chirag city UP platform (going towards Janakpuri West).
It stated that when local troubleshooting measures, the train was withdrawn from service when deboarding its passengers at Chirag city to avoid additional delay on the line and sent to depot for investigation.
“During this period,services were run traditional between Janakpuri West and R K Puram section united loop and Kalkaji Mandir to facility section as another loop.
