Chhattisgarh Health Minister T S Singh Deo inaugurated a ‘Garbage Cafe’ in Ambikapur on wednesday, which will give free food in exchange for plastic waste.
The cafe, set in Ambikapur, that bagged the title of the second cleanest city in india, through the initiative, can give impetus to Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s ‘plastic-free’ india resolve.
“I am therefore proud of this unique plan and initiative, taken by AMC. the whole nation took many measures and steps to discourage exploitation Single-use plastic on sage Gandhi’s 150th birth anniversary. however AMC took such an innovative step to stay the town plastic-free, I feel therefore sensible. This initiative has achieved support on the national and international level,” same Singh Deo.
The concept of this cafe is that folks will get their plastic waste weighed and enjoy a heat meal in return.
