As india faces complex security threats, the govt has firmed up a mega commit to pay $130 billion to bolster combat capability of the armed forces in the next 5 to seven years, in step with an official document.

Official sources same the govt has selected a broad plan to speed up modernization of the army, Navy and therefore the Air Force below that a spread of essential weapons, missiles, fighter jets, submarines and warships are procured within the next few years.

They same the government’s immediate priority is to fast-track infantry modernization, as well as procuring 2,600 infantry combat vehicles and one,700 future-ready combat vehicles for the Indian Army.

Another key priority is to obtain a hundred and ten multirole fighter aircraft for the IAF.

“The government can pay $130 billion for fleet modernization in the next 5-7 years across all military,” the document stated.
