A Sukhoi fighter jet of the Indian Air Force crashed in a very field close to Tezpur in assam on thursday evening, a defence spokesperson said.
Both pilots of the craft ejected safely and are rescued, defence spokesperson Lt gap Harsh Wardhan Pande same.
One of the pilots suffered injury in his leg, he said.
The Su-30 MKI fighter jet was on a routine training mission once it crashed within the field within the Milanpur space and burst into flames at around 8:30 pm, Lt gap Pande told PTI.
The crash caused no harm to public property, he added.
Local people hurried the 2 pilots to the army Base Hospital in Tezpur, he said.
Fire engines were hurried to the spot to bring the flames in check, the fire department said.
