Following days of restrictions, mobile net services were restored in 5 districts of Jammu and kashmir on saturday.
Starting saturday morning, 2G mobile net services were restored in Jammu, Reasi, Samba, Kathua and Udhampur districts of the region.
Mobile net services were suspended in Jammu on August five, in sight of security issues within the region. The restrictions on the telecom services were continuing within the wake of abrogation of Article 370 of the Constitution.
Earlier on Friday, the govt. had determined to lift restrictions imposed in Jammu and kashmir, in a very phased and gradual manner.
Jammu and kashmir chief secretary, BVR Subrahmanyam had said, “Telecom property can bit by bit be erased and restored in a very phase-wise manner keeping in mind constant threat posed by terrorist’s organizations in using mobile property to arrange terror actions. bar detentions area unit being continuously reviewed and an applicable call would be created based on law and order situation.”
