Kolkata – Heavy rain for second day, flights also affected.

Flights were affected and waterlogging diode to traffic jams in many parts of kolkata this morning as serious rains battered town for a second consecutive day.
Air traffic was affected for some hours at the kolkata airport because of low visibility, said an officer.

The weather office has predicted associate intense spell of rain for consecutive four hours within the capital and several|and several other} other districts of bengal amid a cyclonic circulation developing over bangladesh.

“An intense spell of rain is probably going to continue over districts of south bengal within the next four hours,” an officer of the Met department said.

Disaster management groups are on standby and a bearing room has been set up at the state secretariat. Central Avenue, Behala and Ekbalpore are among the worst-hit components in kolkata.
