Malpura – Curfew was relaxed for two hours.

Curfew was relaxed for 2 hours on friday in Malpura town of Rajasthan’s Tonk district wherever it had been imposed 3 days agone over communal tensions following pelting of stones at a Dussehra procession.

The restrictions were imposed on Wednesday and mobile net services were also snapped to prevent rumour-mongering.

“The curfew was relaxed from 0830 to 1030 hrs. the case within the city is under control,” Malpura Circle Officer Jai Singh same on weekday.

Two folks are arrested in connection with the incident that took place on weekday evening, he added.

Locals had staged a protest when stones were pelted at the procession.
