A day after President Ram Nath Kovind appointed four new judges to the highest court, the Supreme Court on Thursday announced the creation of 2 new court rooms within the premises.
“It is hereby circulated for the knowledge of all involved that as per the orders of justice of India, 2 extra court rooms are created close to the existing court range ten that are rangeed as court range sixteen and court number seventeen,” same Assistant Registrar Sushil Kumar Sharma.
The four new judges of the highest court ar Himachal Pradesh justice V. Ramasubramanian, Punjab and Haryana chief justice avatar Murari, Rajasthan justice S.A. Ravindra Bhat and Kerala justice Hrishikesh Roy. they’ll probably take the oath of office on weekday.
The central government had cleared their appointment as Supreme Court judges.
The Supreme Court collegium last month suggested to the Centre to elevate four Chief Justices of different high courts to the apex court.
