Rs 5 lakh compensation for families in building collapse announced by CM Devdendra Fadnavis.

Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis on Wed announced a compensation of Rs five lakh every for the families of these who dies within the tragic building collapse in Dongri a day earlier.

Expressing his anguish at the tragedy, Fadnavis said that whereas Rs five lakh every would run to successive of kin of the deceased, an quantity of Rs 50,000 every would run as compensation to those injured. The medical expenses of all the livid are going to be borne by the maharashtra government, he said.

At least fourteen individuals died and another 9 were severely livid once the four-storey building came crashing down at around 11.40 AM on weekday. The building is reportedly nearly a hundred years old and a notice had been issued in 2017 for it to be vacated. Fadnavis had knowing that the residents of the building had antecedently met MHADA officers for the redevelopment of the building.

Rescue operations continuing into the morning hours of Wed with National Disaster Response Force searching for people below the debris. someone dogs were additionally brought in to help with the efforts.
